Membership

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Membership Fees are waived for existing members until further notice.

We welcome new members who are willing to be active investors and participants in selecting and mentoring high growth companies. If you are interested in joining us, please write to us at [email protected].

There are 3 types of membership:

Individual Membership

Any individual shall be eligible to apply for admission as Individual Member, if the applicant has directly or indirectly through any corporation(s), trust fund(s) or any other vehicle(s) of which he controls,

a) made angel or VC investment(s) exceeding HK$100,000 within the 36-month period prior to his application, or

b) meets the definition of “Professional Investor” under the Securities and Futures (Professional Investor) Rules (Cap. 571D of the laws of Hong Kong).

Membership fee: HK$2,000 per year

• Membership year from 1 JUL to 30 JUN
• Members joining before 1 JAN (i.e. before mid-year) will pay full year membership fee
• Members joining from 1 JAN to 30 JUN will pay a pro-rata amount calculated on a monthly basis (that is HK$167 per remaining month for Individual Members) plus an advanced amount for one year (e.g. HK$2,668 for Individual Members if a member would join on 1 MAR)

Corporate Membership

Any company or corporation shall be eligible to apply for admission as Corporate Member if the applicant or its majority or major shareholder has directly or indirectly through any other corporation(s), trust fund(s), or any other vehicle(s) of which the applicant or the majority shareholder controls,

a) made angel or VC investment(s) exceeding HK$100,000 within the 36-month period prior to his application, or

b) meets the definition of “Professional Investor” under the Securities and Futures (Professional Investor) Rules (Cap. 571D of the laws of Hong Kong).

A maximum of three representatives on an annual basis can be nominated by each Corporate Member.

Membership fee: HK$4,500 per year

• Membership year from 1 JUL to 30 JUN
• Members joining before 1 JAN (i.e. before mid-year) will pay full year membership fee
• Members joining from 1 JAN to 30 JUN will pay a pro-rata amount calculated on a monthly basis (that is HK$375 per remaining month for Corporate Members) plus an advanced amount for one year (e.g. HK$6,000 for Corporate Members if a member would join on 1 MAR)

Associate Membership (By Invitation from Board of Directors ONLY)

Associate Members includes professionals who are associated directly or indirectly with angel and venture investment industry. (e.g. CPA, lawyers and financial advisers)

The joining of Associate Members would be by invitation from Board of Directors only and renewal of each membership would be subject to the decision of Board of Directors.

Training courses will be organized together with professional institutions on angel and venture investment for Associate Members and other Classes of Members to enhance their knowledge about early-stage investment.

Membership fee: HK$6,000 per year

• Membership year from 1 JUL to 30 JUN
• Members joining before 1 JAN (i.e. before mid-year) will pay full year membership fee
• Members joining from 1 JAN to 30 JUN will pay a pro-rata amount calculated on a monthly basis (that is HK$500 per remaining month for Associate Members) plus an advanced amount for one year (e.g. HK$8,000 for Associate Members if a member would join on 1 MAR)
